Ping Lacson Super Cop is a Filipino action movie starring Rudy Fernandez as Panfilo ‘Ping’ Lacson. Produced by Millennium Cinema and directed by Toto Natividad, this Ping Lacson biopic is based on the controversial issues surrounding the life of Senator Ping Lacson when he was still a policeman, including the death of Kuratong Baleleng members.
Ping Lacson Super Cop Movie Plot
The start of the movie featured the killing of 11 Kuratong Baleleng members in 1995. Allegedly, the incident was a rubout but Lacson as part of the Presidential Anti-Crime Commission (PACC) categorically denied it.
A flashback was then shown to showcase Lacson’s graduation at the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) along with Senator Gringo Honasan, in 1971.
Throughout the movie, Lacson was also seen fighting against different kinds of criminals such as petty thieves, kidnappers, murderers, and corrupt politicians.
The last part of the movie featured Fernandez delivering a speech when Lacson was the chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP), was appointed by then-President Joseph ‘Erap’ Estrada.
