The Unmarried Wife Movie stars Angelica Panganiban, Dingdong Dantes, and Paulo Avelino. Produced by Star Cinema, story by Keiko Aquino and directed by Maryo J. de Los Reyes, this blockbuster love story drama film several major awards nominations especially at the 2017 Star Awards for Movies, and eventually won the FAMAS Best Screenplay award for Vanessa R. Valdez and FAMAS Best Actress award for Angelica Panganiban.
The Unmarried Wife Movie Plot Summary
In this movie, Angelica Panganiban plays Anne Victorio, a brand manager and the wife of Geoff Victorio (Dingdong Dantes). The couple has a young son and Anne is trying her best to balance her time being a wife, a mother, and a career woman. At first, she chooses not to react when she learned that Geoff has another woman, and considers herself an unmarried wife. But later, she decided to leave him and filed an annulment.
But in the process, Anne has also problems with her work. Then, she met Bryan (Paulo Avelino), a married man but is already separated from his wife and is also filing an annulment. Shortly, Anne and Bryan fell in love with each other and the situation got worse. Technically speaking, the movie highlighted the culture of unfair treatment of women engaging in infidelity while “allowing” men to have another woman.
