The Day After Valentine’s is a 2018 Philippine romance drama film written and directed by Jason Paul Laxamana.
The film tells the story of Kai, a distraught man who meets Lani, a strong, confident woman who seems to have answers to all of life’s most difficult questions. Kai realizes that with Lani’s wisdom and ‘go-get attitude, he may be able to fix everything in his life.
Although the film was provided a limited release, it received critical acclaim and is considered as one of the best romantic films of 20i8.
The Day After Valentine’s Plot
Kai (JC Santos) walks into a clothing store in search of arm socks. That’s where he meets Lani (Bela Padilla), a store assistant. The shop is closed for the night but Lani allows Kai to buy what he needs. The two become fast friends. Kai opens up about heartbreak. Lani helps him heal and forget. The two are inseparable. When Kai has to go home to Hawaii where his family lives, he invites Lani to join him.
