Siphayo Movie stars Luis Alandy, Joem Bascon, and Nathalie Hart. Produced by BG Productions International and directed by Joel Lamangan, this erotic drama film is about two brothers who became rebellious when their father had a young mistress after their mother passed away.
Nonetheless, it also tacked the rampant problem of land grabbing of farmers in the Philippines. For her role, Nathalie Hart won the Best Actress award at the 2017 International Film Festival Manhattan: Film Festival Director Award.
Siphayo Movie Plot Summary
In the movie, Allan Paule plays Dante is a self-made farmer and rice mill owner and the husband of Fely (Maria Isabel Lopez), who is dying of cancer and has only 2 months to live.
The couple has two adult sons – the eldest Conrado (Luis Alandy) who has a live-in partner Sol (Elora Españo) and Rolando (Joem Bascon). To make his wife somehow comfortable, Dante hires the private nurse Alice (Nathalie Hart) to take care of her.
According to Dante, Alice’ father is his friend. However, it turns out that he send her to school and she is his mistress. Later, Fely passed away but Alice continues to stay with them. This angered the two brothers, who will do everything to make her leave.
In addition to their problem, a huge corporation is forcing the family to sell their land to them to be converted into a huge shopping mall.
