Produced by Star Cinema, “Ngayong Nandito Ka” is a 2003 Filipino romance drama film written by Henry King Quitain and directed by Jerry Lopez Sineneng.
The film stars the established love team Kristine Hermosa and Jericho Rosales, who have worked together in several other films and TV series. The film was shot at locations in Baguio City, Benguet, in Metro Manila, and in Tokyo, Japan.
Ngayong Nandito Ka Movie Plot
In the movie, Garie (Kristine Hermosa) and Rocky (Jericho Rosales) are enjoying life as a couple and as fellow members of a band. Things look up as their band books a contractual gig abroad.
Before they can leave for Japan, Rocky is held back by a sudden family crisis. Garie goes to Japan with the rest of the band, holding onto Rocky’s promise that he will follow immediately after settling things with his family so they can be together again.
Burdened by filial duties, Rocky ultimately chooses to focus on helping his family, breaking his promise to Garie.
He is arranged to marry Angela (Cindy Kurleto), the daughter of a wealthy congressman, to help rebuild his family’s finances. Meanwhile, in Japan, Garie loses direction and drive until she meets successful Filipino entrepreneur Derek (Onemig Bondoc) who guides her into a flourishing new career.
Garie and Rocky meet again through Derek, who reveals to Rocky that he is engaged to Garie. The encounter opens up old pains and new questions about how they changed and how their feelings have changed.
