Nag-iisang Bituin Movie is a family drama starring Star for All Seasons Vilma Santos, Christopher De Leon, and Aga Mulach.
Produced by Regal Films and directed by Jose Javier Reyes, this Vilma-Christopher-Aga movie earned nominations for Gawad Urian Awards for Best Screenplay (Jose Javier Reyes), FAMAS Best Picture, and FAMAS Best Director, and eventually won FAMAS Best Screenplay award.
Nag-iisang Bituin Movie Plot
In the movie, Vilma Santos plays Cecille, a psychiatrist. On the other hand, Christopher De Leon plays Phillip Caballero and Aga Muhlach as Miggy, a 24-year old mentally-challenged man and is Phillip’s youngest brother. Phillip and Miggy have other siblings but none of them would want to take care of the latter after they lose their parents.
The Caballero siblings initially wanted to put Miggy in a mental institution but all their relatives disagreed. But because Phillip is still single, he decided to take Miggy home but he has been causing problems at home. With the help of a friend, Phillip met Cecille and they helped each other in helping Miggy. And yes, this is more of an Aga Mulach movie rather than a Vilma-Boyet romance film.
