Lucid is a 2019 Filipino romance-fantasy movie with Alessandra de Rossi and JM de Guzman sharing the lead roles.
Produced by Project 8 Corner San Juaquin that hit the theaters on November 9 and directed by Victor Kaiba Villanueva. It is also part of the Cinema One Originals. This is the first time Alessandra de Rossi and JM de Guzman teamed up for the movie.
Lucid Movie Plot
In the movie, Alessandra de Rossi played Ann Cruz who is a lucid dreamer this means that when Ann dreams, she is fully aware that she’s dreaming. She can also gain control over what happens in her dreams, such as the environment, setting, and characters.
Ann Cruz is a young woman who leads a lonely, mundane existence in the real world but has the perfect life in her lucid dreams.
In one of her dreams, she meets another lucid dreamer named Xavi played by JM de Guzman, who challenges her to make her dream situations more adventurous.
Since Xavi isn’t technically part of her dreams, Ann discovers that she can’t control him. Ann also realizes that her dreams are more exciting than her real-life The line between the two lucid dreamers started to blur.
