Now, a dark secret of the past is set to be revealed. Produced by Star Cinema, this seemingly unexpected love triangle is directed by Ruel S. Bayani, who directed other blockbuster movies such as No Other Woman and One More Try.
Kasal Movie Plot Summary
In the movie, Bea Alonzo plays Lia Marquez, a simple woman who is engaged with Cebu’s most eligible bachelor Philip Cordero (Paulo Avelino), who is also preparing to run for mayor in an attempt to replace his father (Christopher De Leon) once the latter’s term ends. The conflict starts when Wado dela Costa (Derek Ramsay), Lia’s ex-boyfriend returned to create a project that would help Philip win the elections.
But in the process, Wado also has another purpose – to win Lia back. And her wedding day comes closer, Lia is getting confused if she really wants to marry Philip or go back to Wado. Out of desperation, Wado blackmailed Philip saying that he will tell Lia about their past. And yes, Philip is secretly gay and he and Wado used to be lovers. Now, it is not only Philip’s political family that’s going to crash but also Lia whose father is also gay.
