Kaputol Ng Isang Awit Movie Plot Summary
In the movie, Sharon Cuneta plays Sarah Montessa, a club singer who lives with her grandfather (Ruben Rustia) and a traumatized mother (Marita Zobel). One night, she was discovered by Erick Valderama (Tonton Gutierrez), a talent executive of Mega Recording Company, and helped her become a famous singer. In the process, Erick’s girlfriend Margo (Amy Perez) got jealous and they broke up.
As revenge, Margo gets singer Johnny Abrigo (Gary V) and asked her mother (Barbara Perez), owner of Mega Recording Company to build him up. Eventually, Sarah and Johnny became famous recording artists and started to be close friends. One day, they found an unfinished song that will play a very important role in finding her long-lost father, Arsenio Rivera (Eddie Mesa), who is currently in prison.
