Kapantay Ay Langit Movie stars Megastar Sharon Cuneta and Richard Gomez. Produced by Viva Films and directed by Joel Lamangan, this second Sharon-Richard romance film is about falling in love for the second time and showcases the acting talent of then-child actress Charina Scott.
In the movie, Sharon Cuneta plays Odette Yuson as a single mother to her one and only young daughter Cristy (Charina Scott).
And because she is very busy with business, her good friend and Cristy’s godmother Leleng (Bing Loyzaga) are helping her in taking care of her child. On the other hand, Richard Gomez plays Steve, an advertising executive, and is still single.
One day, Cristy auditioned for a commercial via the ad agency where Steve was working. And because of her talent, Cristy was hired for the role and Steve was fond of her.
However, Frank (Tonton Gutierrez), Odette’s estranged husband, and Cristy’s father learned about it and did not like the idea. Later, Odette and Steve, and Cristy posed as a matchmaker for them.
