Ipaglalaban Ko Movie is an action drama romance film starring Rudy Fernandez and Gretchen Barretto.
Produced by Seiko Films and directed by Manuel “Fyke” Cinco, this blockbuster Rudy-Gretchen movie was serialized in Hiwaga Komiks, a story by D.G. Salonga, and featured Freddie Aguilar’s hit song with the same title.
Ipaglalaban Ko Movie Plot
At the start of the film, a pregnant inmate (Liza Lorena) who was jailed for killing her husband and his lover gave birth to a baby boy, but she later died. The warden then gave the baby to an ex-convict (Joonee Gamboa). When the boy grew up as Elmo (Rudy Fernandez), he became an auto mechanic and his boss Trigo (Mark Gil) trust him so much.
Elmo has a romantic relationship with Grace (Gretchen Barretto), a young beautiful woman who incidentally is Trigo’s younger sister.
One day, someone tried to abduct Trigo but Elmo saved him and Trigo trusted him even more. However, Trigo and her mother (Charito Solis) later learned about Elmo and Grace, and the couple decides to live together as husband and wife. Now, Elmo is willing to fight for their love, whatever it takes.
