Dear Heart Movie is a Philippine romance movie that stars Megastar Sharon Cuneta and Gabby Concepcion. Produced by Sining Silangan Productions and directed by Danny L. Zialcita. this first Sharon-Gabby movie is also Sharon’s first movie.
But because their on-screen chemistry was so magical, Sharon earned the 1981 Popular Teenage Queen of RP Movies. And as they say, the rest is history
Dear Heart Movie Plot Summary
In the movie, 15-year old Sharon plays April, the only daughter of a rich but strict businessman Don Manolo Mondragon (Eddie Garcia), and his wife Emily (Liza Lorena). On the other hand, 16-year old Gabby plays Jimmy Lizares, the son of Sylvia (Rosemarie Gil) and Antonio (Fred Montilla), but he did not grow up with his father. Meanwhile, a young man Edwin (Ting Jocson) likes April and their parents seem to have arranged them as future couples.
April and Jimmy first met in a pizza parlor in Baguio but they did not really talk. They saw each other again in a university where they both enrolled, and that was the start of their getting to know each other. One night, April and Jimmy slept in a Bahay Kubo, and Jimmy was charged with kidnapping. Later, Jimmy learned that his father is Antonio and that Antonio already has a wife and son, Edwin.
