Bakit Ikaw Pa Rin Movie stars Sharon Cuneta and Gabby Concepcion, as a couple who faced the hardships of getting married at a very young age. Produced by Viva Films and directed by Emmanuel H. Borlaza, this seventh Sharon-Gabby movie earned a Young Critics Circle Silver Prize award for Borlaza and a PMPC Star Awards for Movies Best Actress nomination for Sharon.
Bakit Ikaw Pa Rin Movie Plot Summary
At the start of the movie, Jenny (Sharon Cuneta) and Paul (Gabby Concepcion) are lovers who decided to get married after Paul gets her pregnant. But because they were still both 18 years old and are still studying, Paul’s parents totally disagreed and Jenny’s mother (Laurice Guillen) wants Jenny to abort her baby. But because Jenny and Paul were persistent, they still got married and lived in another house.
As expected, their first months were exciting and sweet. But as days go by, they faced several challenges of young married couples especially when it comes to finding a job for Paul. Problems add up when they need a huge amount of money for their baby’s medical operation. In addition, Paul’s older sister Sylvia (Cherie Gil) will intervene and will do everything to destroy their marriage.
