A Second Chance Movie stars John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo as married couple Popoy and Basha and is the sequel to the multi-awarded 2007 romantic drama movie One More Chance.
Produced by Star Cinema and directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina, this once the second-highest-grossing Filipino film of all time is known for notable ‘hugot’ lines and won Movie Actress of the Year for Bea Alonzo at the 2016 Star Awards for Movies.
A Second Chance Movie Plot Summary
In this movie, John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo reprise their roles as Popoy Gonzalez and Basha Eugenio, respectively.
This time, they are now married. But just like in the first movie, they encountered several challenges. Being a civil engineer, Popoy rejected an offer to work abroad to build a construction firm with Basha, who is an architect.
At first, the business was growing and Basha became a full-time housewife. However, Popoy had difficulties in managing the business, and out of pride, he did not tell her that there are already problems.
Popoy started to be irritable when Basha buys something for their house, simply because they are now in huge debt. When Basha learns about it, she did everything to save the business. However, Popoy felt it was an insult to him.
