The Healing Movie stars Star for All Seasons Vilma Santos and Kim Chiu and is about a woman who’s close friends and neighbors became victims of a curse after she brought them to a faith healer.
Produced by Star Cinema and directed by Chito S. Roño, this blockbuster Pinoy horror movie earned 16 major awards nominations from various award-giving bodies, including a FAP Best Actress nomination of Vilma Santos.
The Healing Movie Plot Summary
At the start of the movie, Seth (Vilma Santos) brought her father Odong (Robert Arevalo) to a faith healer Manang Elsa (Daria Ramirez) when the latter had a severe stroke.
On the other hand, Cookie (Kim Chiu), the daughter of Seth’s ex-husband Val (Mark Gil) has kidney disease, and Seth gave them the address of Manang Elsa. However, Seth said she should not be held accountable in case she will not be healed.
Meanwhile, Seth’s neighbors who were suffering from different diseases also want to go Manang Elsa. But when they arrived, Manang Elsa’s brother Melchor (Joel Torre) told them that her sister has already stopped her “healing.” But because Seth was persistent, Elsa healed them all and there were cured. But later, all of them began acting weird and started killing people or have died mysteriously and Seth should stop the curse.
