The Ghost Bride Movie stars Alice Dixson, Matteo Guidicelli, and Kim Chiu as a young woman who accepted a business offer to enter into a Chinese tradition called Ghost Wedding, wherein she has to marry a dead man in exchange for a huge amount of money.
Produced by Star Cinema and directed by Chito S. Roño, this horror movie won Movie Sound Engineer of the Year for Albert Michael Idioma at the 2018 Star Awards for Movies.
The Ghost Bride Movie Plot Summary
In the movie, Kim Chiu plays Mayen Lim, a young Chinese woman and the daughter of Manuel Lim (Robert Seña) who has a failing business and is now in huge debt.
She has a boyfriend Clinton Yu (Matteo Guidicelli) while is the breadwinner of the family. When her father was hospitalized, Mayen badly needed money so she accepted the business offer of Angie Lao (Alice Dixson), a Chinese matchmaker for Ghost Wedding.
Based on the proposal, Mayen will have to marry a wealthy but dead Chinese man. However, this is not as easy as she thought as she needs to follow some strict rules such as celebrating their wedding anniversary. But later, she realized that it was more than just to be a ghost bride. She and her family have to face the terror it will bring to them. Now, Mayen has to do something to protect herself and her loved ones.
