Sukob Movie stars Kris Aquino and Claudine Barretto and is about the Sukob superstition of Filipinos wherein a wedding curse will happen if two siblings will get married on the same date or year.
Produced by Star Cinema and directed by Chito S. Roño, this critically acclaimed Pinoy horror movie was once the highest-grossing Filipino film of all time and won 7 major awards from various award-giving bodies.
Sukob Movie Plot Summary
In the movie, Kris Aquino plays Sandy, who got married to Dale (Wendell Ramos), her fellow OFW in Dubai. But during their wedding ceremony, she had a nosebleed and saw a creepy ghostly flower girl (Loida Manuel). Apparently, Joya (Maja Salvador) who is a psychic and the daughter of Phil’s cousin also saw the ghost. After the reception, two of Sandy’s friends were killed in a freak car accident and she saw a ghostly flower girl again.
Meanwhile, on Aliaga, Nueva Ecija, and Sandy’s wedding day, Diana (Claudine Barretto) and Brian (Bernard Palanca) also got married and Diana also saw the same creepy ghostly flower girl.
Later, Brian accidentally fell off the roof of their house and died and Diana’s aunt Lagring was killed by a speeding bus. Sandy and Diana later met and they learned that they wed on the same day and that they are half-sisters.
