Shake Rattle and Roll XIV: The Invasion Movie (SRR XIV)stars an ensemble cast led by Janice de Belen, Herbert Bautista, Dennis Trillo, Vhong Navarro, Lovi Poe, Martin Escudero, and Paulo Avelino. Produced by Regal Entertainment, Inc, this 14th installment of the Shake Rattle and Roll trilogy horror movie series won the Best Special Effects award at the 2012 Metro Manila Film Festival, and all three episodes are directed by Chito S. Roño.
Shake Rattle and Roll XIV: The Invasion Movie Plot Summary
The first episode is entitled ‘Pamana,’ wherein four cousins Myra (Janice de Belen), Donald (Herbert Bautista), Faye (Arlene Muhlach), and Emerson (Ivan Dorschner), who all inherited P20 million from their distant Uncle Lando, a horror story writer who died angry to the people who fooled him. However, they can only get their share a month later and if one of them dies. Later, the characters in the ghost stories came to life.
The second episode is entitled ‘Lost Command,’ wherein 1Lt. Bert Garces (Rommel Padilla) and MSgt. Martin Barrientos (Dennis Trillo) led a troop of soldiers including Corp. Lamberto Upaon (Paulo Avelino) and Pvt. Solomon Conde (Martin Escudero), to fight against an alleged lost command in Mindanao led by Kapitan Baltog (Roi Vinzon), who used to be Col. Rolando Palma. It turned out that the enemies are zombie soldiers.
The third episode ‘Unwanted’ stars Vhong Navarro as Hank and Lovi Poe as Kate, his pregnant girlfriend. The couple went to SM Mall of Asia to retrieve their gift for their parents. Shortly, there was a huge explosion inside the mall. Hank, Ren (Carlo Aquino), were among the survivors but they have to fight against various kinds of alien sea creatures. But how? Will Hank be still able to find Kate alive?
