Shake Rattle and Roll XIII Movie (SRR XIII) stars an ensemble cast including Zanjoe Marudo, Maricar Reyes, Kathryn Bernardo, Sam Concepcion, Edgar Allan Guzman, Louise Delos Reyes, and Eugene Domingo. Produced by Regal Entertainment, Inc, this 13th installment of the Shake Rattle & Roll trilogy horror movie series won Best Child Performer for Bugoy Cariño at the 2011 Metro Manila Film Festival.
Shake Rattle and Roll XIII Movie Plot Summary
Directed by Richard V. Somes, the first episode is entitled ‘Tamawo’ which refers to tiny, white creatures that abduct people including children. Bikbok (Bugoy Cariño) along with his blind mother Isay (Maricar Reyes), baby brother, and his stepfather Allan (Zanjoe Marudo) have just moved to an isolated town. Later, Allan finds a crystalline egg, which the Tamawos want back. This started the anger of the Tamawos to them.
Directed by Jerrold Tarog, the second episode is entitled ‘Parola,’ Here, Lucy (Kathryn Bernardo) and Shane (Louise Delos Reyes) are high school students and are best of friends. Both of them went to an abandoned and restricted lighthouse, where the spirit of two rival witches stay. Shortly, Lucy and Shane started to have conflicts and disagreements, as the spirits began to take control of them.
Directed by Chris Martinez, the second episode is entitled ‘Rain Rain Go Away.’ Here, Cynthia (Eugene Domingo) and her husband Mar (Jay Manalo) own a small factory but had to leave it and their house because of Typhoon Ondoy. The couple, who has difficulties in having a baby, transferred to a condominium, where they started to experience weird things involving water. And later, several ghosts also showed up.
