Maria Leonora Teresa Movie stars Jodi Sta. Maria, Iza Calzado, and Zanjoe Marudo and are about three life-size dolls as gifts for the parents who lost their young daughters.
Produced by Star Cinema and directed by Wenn V. Deramas, the dolls in this Pinoy horror movie were named after the iconic doll of Nora Aunor and Tirso Cruz III, or the seemingly unbeatable Guy and Pip love team.
Maria Leonora Teresa Movie Plot Summary
In the movie, three young girls studying at Little Magnolia School died after their school bus crashed while on its way to a field trip.
The casualties were Maria Ann Pardo (Rhed Bustamante), the daughter of Faith Pardo (Iza Calzado); Leonora Vera (Jonicka Cyleen Movido), the daughter of homosexual teacher Julio B. Sacdalan (Zanjoe Marudo); and Teresa de Castro (Juvy Lyn Bison), the daughter of Stella de Castro (Jodi Sta. Maria).
Shortly, psychiatrist Manolo Apacible (Cris Villanueva) offered each of the three mourning parents a life-sized talking doll to somehow help them cope up with their loss.
Incidentally, the voices of the dolls are the same of the three girls, Maria, Leonora, and Teresa. At first, the dolls are helping the parent recover. But later, the dolls came to life and killed several people. It turned out that the dolls are in revenge for a boy’s death.
