Eerie is a 2018 Filipino horror-thriller and action film starring Charo Santos-Concio and Bea Alonzo in the lead roles. The movie was produced in Singapore by mm2 Entertainment and Star Cinema. The premiere was released during the Singapore International Film Festival.
On March 27, 2019, Eerie reached movie theaters in the Philippines. The suspense film directed by Mikhail Red follows a guidance counselor who tries to solve the mysterious death of a girl student
Eerie Movie Plot
Bea Alonzo plays the role of Pat Consolacion, a guidance counselor working at the Sta. Lucia Academy, an exclusive Catholic private school for girls. The unexpected death of a student disrupts the peaceful existence of the old school.
A student named Erika allegedly committed suicide on the Academy’s premises. Patricia has great affection for her students and she tries her best to make the students cope with the tragic event.
She also decides to independently pursue her own investigation without noticing Mother Alice, the headteacher (played by Charo Santos-Concio). Academy’s students start to report apparitions of Erika’s ghost. One of the students, Anna, is sent home after being traumatized by the experience of meeting the ghost of Erika.
Most of the Academy’s students suspect that the strict Mother Alice is involved in Erika’s death. However, Pat’s unusual talents help her to uncover the mystery of the school hunted for over a century by the ghost of a former student named Eri.
