Bliss Movie stars Iza Calzado as an actress who was forced to stay at home after she met an accident while filming her movie that she is also producing.
Produced by TBA, Artikulo Uno Productions, and Quantum Films directed by Jerrold Tarog, this Pinoy horror psychological thriller indie film won Iza Calzado a Yakushi Pearl Award at the 2017 Osaka Asian Film Festival and Movie Actress of the Year award at the 2018 Star Awards for Movies.
Bliss Movie Plot Summary
In this movie, Iza Calzado plays Jane Ciego, a 30-year old plus successful actress and is being adored by many. But because she got tired of doing the usual kind of films and she wants to gain respect from the public, she decided to produce her own film, where she plays Abigail.
But while doing the film, she met an accident causing her to be crippled and stay at home. Suddenly, her new world became her worst nightmare.
Inside her own house, Jane is under the care of her unloving husband Carlo (TJ Trinidad) and a mysterious and obsessive nurse Lillibeth (Adrienne Vergara), who also plays Rose in the film Jane is doing.
To add problems, Jane has a stage mother Jillian (Shamaine Buencamino), who always wants more, and an incompetent movie director Lexter Palao (Audie Gemora). Now, Jane has a lot of reasons to be scared and lose her mind.
Trivia:
Bliss Movie was given an X rating by the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) due to frontal nudity and excessive violence. However, Direk Jerrold Tarog made an appeal for a second review, and the MTRCB reclassified it as R-18.
