Aswang Movie stars Paulo Avelino and Lovi Poe as one of the Abuwaks, a type of aswang that can move underground while attacking their victims and can transform into ravens.
Produced by Regal Entertainment and directed by Jerrold Tarog, this Pinoy horror film is a remake of the 1992 film of the same name directed by Peque Gallaga and won a Movie Child Performer of the Year for Jillian Ward at the 2012 Star Awards for Movies.
Aswang Movie Plot Summary
The movie starts with assassins Gido (Marc Abaya) and Queenie (Niña Jose) entering a house and killed a couple. The children Gabriel (Albie Casiño) and Ahnia (Jillian Ward) were able to escape after another assassin Daniel (Paulo Avelino) who was waiting outside did not shoot them. It turns out that Daniel is not really a bad man and that his family is only being held hostage by their boss Eddie (Nonie Buencamino).
Gabriel and Ahnia planned to go Pampanga where their relatives live but got lost and arrived at a town where the Abuwaks live like ordinary people. The two siblings were among those who were attacked by the Abuwaks but town resident Hasmin (Lovi Poe) saved them. Shortly, Daniel and the other two killers also arrived in the same town. Later, they found the siblings and Daniel met Hasmin, who is also an Abuwak but a reluctant one.
