Sinasamba Kita is a Filipino drama film that stars Vilma Santos, Christopher De Leon, Phillip Salvador, and Lorna Tolentino.
Produced by Viva Films, this love story drama was serialized in Tagalog Klasiks comics, written by Gilda Olvidado, and won FAMAS Best Director award for Eddie Garcia and FAP Awards for Best Story Adaptation for Orlando Nadres, Best Cinematography for Romeo Vitug, and Best Original Song for George Canseco, sung by Rey Valera.
Sinasamba Kita Movie Plot Summary
At the start of the movie, Divina Ferrer (Vilma Santos) is listening to her dying father, Don Jose Ferrer (Eddie Garcia) as he requests her to get Nora (Tina Paner), his teenage daughter with his mistress, and to take good care of her.
Being a good daughter, Divina got Nora but treats her very poorly. She continued managing her father’s business, while Nora grows up as a young lady (Lorna Tolentino).
As opposite to Divina’s strong character, Nora is weak and cannot establish her own identity. And despite Divina being a bitchy sister, Nora still “worships” her very much. When Nora was in college, she met Oscar Fernandez (Phillip Salvador), who patiently courted her.
Meanwhile, Divina met Jerry Salvo (Christopher De Leon), her business competitor, whom she eventually liked. But along the process, Jerry met Nora and liked her.
