Directed by Ice Idanan, this Pinoy indie film won 8 major awards including Best Director and Best Cinematography for Ice Idanan and Best Actor for Pepe Herrera at the 2016 Cinefilipino Film Festival.
Sakaling Hindi Makarating Movie Plot Summary
In the movie, Alessandra de Rossi plays Cielo, a 27-year old woman who has just been laid off from her job, and her fiancé Mark (Jay Gonzaga) left her after 2 months before her marriage, ending their 11-year old relationship. Since then, she wanted to be alone and even left her mother and rented an apartment far from home. There, she met Paul (Pepe Herrera), her neighbor who became her only friend.
One day, Cielo receives started receiving painted postcards from various places around the Philippines. They came from a mysterious guy named M, and each of them has a poetic message on it, and upon Paul’s advice, Cielo went alone to several places including Zamboanga and Siquijor to find M. Then, Cielo met Manuel (JC Santos), a young man who likes her and is the exact opposite of Mark. But can he replace Mark on Cielo’s heart?
