Sa Hirap at Ginhawa Movie stars Megastar Sharon Cuneta and Gabby Concepcion as a young loving couple who got married at a very young age, which is incidentally what happened to them in real life. Produced by Viva Films, story by Connie Angeles, and directed by Leroy Salvador, this fifth Sharon-Gabby film earned Sharon a FAP Best Actress award.
Sa Hirap at Ginhawa Movie Plot Summary
At the start of the movie, Cecilia Ventura (Sharon) and Arnold Zaragoza (Gabby) are still teenagers but are in love with each other. Abe Ventura, Cecilia’s father (Vic Silayan) wants her to continue her studies in the US, but the latter disagrees. Young and immature, Cecilia left their house and went to Baguio to live with Arnold. Shortly, they got married and lived as husband and wife.
As time goes by, Cecilia and Arnold had to face the challenges of getting married at a very young age. As expected, both of their parents got mad at them. In addition, Arnold’s father stopped supporting his studies. Later, Arnold had to work as a porter and Cecilia worked in a bakery as a helper despite being pregnant, and they sometimes fight. But can their marriage last for better or for worse?
