Affairs take a tragic turn in the 2002 Filipino drama movie, Masarap Ba Ang Bawal. Directed by Roland Ledesma and produced by Sunlight Films.
The film follows Pyar Mirasol (Sa Iyong Mga Haplos [2001], Paninda [2001]), JC Castro (Ligaya… Katumbas ng Buhay [2003], Hubad na Multo [2002]), and Mike Magat (Babangon Ako’t Dudurugin Kita [2008], Contessa [2018]) as the three get entangled in a complicated relationship fueled by lustful desires.

JC Castro plays Hernan, a romance novel writer from Manila, who goes back to his hometown to find inspiration for his latest book. His uncle, Tiyo Dado (Bob Soler) agrees to host him and introduces the nephew to his helpers, husband and wife Igno (Mike Magat) and Rosing (Camille Roxas), and his young, beautiful wife from his second marriage, Salome (Pyar Mirasol).
Frustrated with her much older husband, Salome seduces Hernan into a forbidden romance. However, this didn’t sit well with Igno, who’s still hung up with his own secret affair with her. Consumed by jealousy, Igno becomes possessive of Salome, forcing himself into her whenever he gets the chance. This causes Rosing to find out Salome’s betrayal and warns against fooling around with her own step-nephew.
Heeding Rosing’s warning, Hernan breaks it off with Salome. But just as he was about to leave, Tiyo Dado learns about their relationship. The characters soon engage in a climactic confrontation as their once-peaceful household crumbles to the ground.
