Mano Po 4 Movie Ako Legal Wife stars Zsa Zsa Padilla, Cherry Pie Picache, Rufa Mae Quinto, and Jay Manalo. Produced by Regal Entertainment and directed by Joel Lamangan, this Chinoy romantic comedy film earned Zsa Zsa Padilla three Best Actress awards – FAP Awards, Golden Screen Awards, and Metro Manila Film Festival, and a Best Supporting Actress award for Cherry Pie Picache, also via Manila Film Festival.
Mano Po 4 Movie Plot Summary
In the movie, Jay Manalo plays Elton Chiong, a Chinese businessman with three wives – Chona (Zsa Zsa Padilla), Patty (Cherry Pie Picache), and Gloria (Rufa Mae Quinto). Elton and Chona were married via an arranged marriage, and they have three children – Hamilton (John Prats) a homosexual, Hibiscus (Julianne Lee), and Anthurium (Ella Guevara).
On the other hand, Patty is a Chinese-Filipina with a Visayan accent and she has a son Nixon (JC De Vera) with Elton. The trouble began when Chona about Patty and Gloria, but in a funny way. This movie is said to be a parody version of Mano Po 2, where the Chinese businessman also has three wives. The movie title was based on Zsa Zsa Padilla’s famous line in Mano Po 2, “Ako legal wife.”
