Magkapatid Movie stars Megastar Sharon Cuneta and Judy Ann Santos as sisters whose closeness was met with a huge challenge.
Produced by Viva Films and directed by Joel Lamangan, this Sharon-Judy Ann movie earned a FAMAS Best Actress nomination for Sharon Cuneta and a Gawad Urian Awards Best Supporting Actress nomination for Judy Ann.
Magkapatid Movie Plot Summary
In the movie, Sharon plays Dra. Cita Reyes, an accomplished obstetrician, and Judy Ann as Lisa, her younger sister. Cita is married to Bobby (Christopher De Leon), a rich businessman and they have a young son Justin (Mark Angelo Wilson). However, Cita cannot bear another child.
On the other hand, Lisa also has a husband Mike (Dingdong Dantes), who is a band member, and they have two sons, Marco (Alfred Labatos) and Miguel (Cyrus Valdez).
But during a family outing without Bobby and Cita, Justin and Marco drown and both died. Cita blames Lisa for the loss of her child and became depressed. Since then, she stopped helping Lisa financially and even neglecting her job and Bobby. Later, Miguel got sick but Lisa and Mike don’t have enough money. Cita then offered help but as an exchange, Miguel will stay with her to replace Justin.
