Kita Kita Movie stars Alessandra de Rossi and Empoy Marquez. Produced by Spring Films (an indie film production outfit founded by Piolo Pascual and director Joyce Bernal) and Sharo Entertainment Productions and directed by Sigrid Andrea Bernardo, this critically acclaimed blockbuster drama-comedy film won 4 major awards at the 2018 Star Awards for Movies, including Movie of the Year and Movie Director of the Year.
Kita Kita Movie Plot Summary
In the movie, Alessandra de Rossi plays Lea, a Filipina tour who lives in Sapporo, Japan and works as a tourist guide, She is engaged to Nobu, a young Japanese man, but she later discovered that the latter is flirting with her friend, a Filipina. And because of stress, Lea collapsed and became temporarily blind. She was rescued by a fellow Filipino OFW, a not-so-handsome but funny neighbor Tonyo (Empoy Marquez).
Lea and Tonyo started to be good friends, as Tonyo helped her to recover from her sadness. They went to several places and enjoyed each other’s company. But when Lea’s vision returned, she discovered something about Tonyo. It turns out that Lea earlier helped Tonyo during his hard times when she still can see, but she did not realize it. In general, the movie had some famous memorable scenes and funny lines.
