Inang Yaya Movie stars Diamond Star Maricel Soriano as a dedicated nanny torn between taking care of her employer’s daughter and her own daughter.
Produced by Unitel Pictures and directed by Pablo Biglangawa and Veronica Velasco, this family drama earned 43 major awards nominations and won 12 of them.
Inang Yaya Movie Plot Summary
In the movie, Maricel Soriano plays Norma, a single mother with a young daughter Ruby (Tala Santos), who was living with her mother Lola Tersing (Marita Zobel) in their province. Norma is working in Manila as a nanny to a young girl Louise (Erika Oreta), daughter of Noel (Zoren Legaspi) and May (Sunshine Cruz). The start of the movie shows Norma having a short vacation with her daughter and mother.
Shortly, Norma returns to her work in Manila. Both Noel and May are working so Louise spends most of the time with Norma. But once in a while, May’s mother Lola Toots (Liza Lorena) visits them. But when Lola Tersing passed away, Norma had to bring Ruby and lived with her, so Norma now has to balance her time being a nanny and a mother. Later, Louise’s family had to move to Singapore.
Now, Norma has to choose if she will come with them or stay with her daughter.
