I Love You Goodbye stars Gabby Concepcion, Angelica Panganiban, Derek Ramsay, and Kim Chiu in a very unique love story drama. Produced by Star Cinema, this Laurice Guillen film won 4 out of 19 major awards nominations, including the Best Cinematography award for Lee Meily and Best Original Story Award for Vanessa R. Valdez, Kriz G. Gazmen, and Anna Karenina Ramos at the 2009 Metro Manila Film Festival.
I Love You Goodbye Movie Plot Summary
In this movie, Gabby Concepcion plays Dr. Adrian Benitez, a surgeon, and Angelica Panganiban as Lizette Jimenez, his young girlfriend. He is separated from his wife Valerie (Angel Aquino) and they have a daughter Ysa (Kim Chiu), who returned from the US and dislikes Lizette for his father. Lizette has an ex-boyfriend Gary Angeles (Derek Ramsay), a photographer with whom she had a fruitful relationship for four years.
One day, Lizette returns and wants Lizette back. In the process, he befriends Ysa but the latter fell in love with him. And because Lizette is having difficulties in building a relationship with Ysa and Adrian is somehow starting to neglect Lizette, she returned to Gary’s arms. However, a series of unexpected events happened and Lizette will only have one of them whom she will say “I Love You” and whom she shall say “Goodbye.”
