Biktima Movie stars Megastar Sharon Cuneta and Christopher De Leon. Produced by Viva Films, this Lino Brocka film earned a FAMAS Best Actress nomination for Sharon and eventually won Gawad Urian Awards and FAMAS Best Supporting Actress awards for Gina Alajar, FAP Award Best Actor award for Christopher De Leon, and FAP Best Musical Score award for Nonong Buencamino.
Biktima Movie Plot Summary
In the movie, Sharon plays Atty. Rebecca Dizon or Becca, a divorced lawyer, a staunch supporter of women’s rights, and a mother to a young daughter. On the other hand, Christopher de Leon plays Jing Aureus, a businessman, a son of a congressman, and an artist. Apparently, abuse cases were rampant including the case of bank teller Laura Malicat (Gina Alajar).
Jing is engaged with Fey Navarro (Nanette Medved), but Laura accused him of abusing her. With the help of Becca and her friend lawyer Atty. Dave Pascual (Rowell Santiago), Laura go out in public and filed charges against Jing. The case went into court trial but Laura later agreed to a settlement. Jing then befriends Becca and the latter seems to fall for him. Will Becca be his next victim?
