Barbi, D’ Wonder Beki is a 2017 Philippine coming-of-age drama film that tells the story of Billy Bayagan, a closeted gay in a family of strict and conservative policemen. The film follows his journey of acceptance and love for his true self. It was written and directed by Tony Reyes and stars Paolo Ballesteros, Joey de Leon, and Ejay Falcon.
Barbi, D’ Wonder Beki Movie Plot
A closeted gay named Billy Bayagan (Paolo Ballesteros) belongs to a family of brave police officers. He then applied and became a personal security guard of a hot and sexy rich woman named Charice (Kim Domingo).
In order to bring honor to his family, he then decided to give his best service as a security guard until one incident happened – Billy is being accused of killing his boss and his video has gone viral. As he escapes his criminal record, he meets Barbie (Joey de Leon), his mentor, and eventually becomes his savior. With the help of him, Billy has transformed into Barbi, ‘D Wonder Beki, and is now ready to achieve acceptance and love from his family.
