Bakit May Kahapon Pa is a suspense drama starring Superstar Nora Aunor, who is the lone survivor of a massacre when she was still young.
Produced by Viva Films and IAM Productions and directed by Joel Lamangan, this film earns the Best Actress award for Ate Guy in the 1st East Asia Film and Television Award (Malaysia) and Gawad Urian Awards and FAMAS Best Actor for Eddie Garcia, and FAMAS Best Supporting Actress for Dawn Zulueta.
Bakit May Kahapon Pa Movie Plot
The movie starts with a group of policemen and media in front of the house of Gen. Valderama (Eddie Garcia), with Karina Salvacion (Nora Aunor) partly seen looking outside from the house window. Shortly, a sequence of flashback scenes was shown.
It started with a young soldier Mario Valderrama who was shot dead shot while driving a vehicle. But before the incident, Karina talked with him about her plan to rent their guest house.
Mario is the son of Gen. Valderama, who will be retiring later that year. Valderrama, his daughter Lea (Dawn Zulueta), and Mumay (Melisse Santiago), Lea’s daughter arrived from the US for Mario’s wake. As days go by, Karina starts to befriend the entire Valderama family.
But unknown to them, Karina’s real name is Helen Morda, whose family was massacred in 1971 by soldiers led by Valderama, when he was still a Colonel. For years, Helen has been planning how she can seek revenge.
