Bahay Kubo A Pinoy Mano Po Movie stars Diamond Star Maricel Soriano as a farmer whose life was inspired by the movie Mano Po.
Produced by Regal Entertainment and directed by Joel Lamangan, this 2007 Metro Manila Film Festival movie entry won Best Supporting Actress for Eugene Domingo and Best Actress for Maricel Soriano, and a FAP Best Actress award also for Maricel.
Bahay Kubo A Pinoy Mano Po Movie Plot Summary
In the movie, Maricel Soriano plays Eden, a farmer who lives in a ‘Bahay Kubo with Lola Ida (Gloria Romero) and her friend Marang (Eugene Domingo).
Eden later adopted a baby girl named Lily (Julia Montes), and then another baby girl Dahlia. Eden met architect Perry (Eric Quizon) via a blind date, and they got married. Later, Eden adopted JR, Jasmine, Violet, and Daisy. The couple then had her own child, Rose.
While the children were growing up, their farm business also grew until they had their own stall, Garden of Eden, and they transferred to Manila. However, the problem began when Perry was indicted for Estafa and forced to hide. In addition, the children’s real parents want them back. Shortly, their business slowly declined and the family returned to their old ‘Bahay Kubo.’ Later, Eden had to live alone. But until when?
