Sons of Nanay Sabel is a 2019 Filipino comedy movie starring Comedy Queen Ai-Aid de las Alas and Ex-Battalion members including Mark Magsalang, Flow G, John Gutierrez, Skusta Clee, Emcee Rhen, and James Samente.
The film was directed by Dado Lumibao and written by Mel Mendoza del Rosario and produced by Viva Films. It was a pre-Mother’s Day offering, with theme songs from Ex-Batallion featuring de las Alas titled “Bagong Umaga,” Huwag Siya,” and “Sama-sama.” The film was released on May 8, 2019, in the Philippines.
S.O.N.S. (Sons Of Nanay Sabel) Movie Plot
Sons Of Nanay Sabel is similar to Wenn Deramas’ Ang Tanging Ina in 2003, which also stars de las Alas. However, the difference between the two movies is that Ina of Tanging Ina is a hardworking mother who’s doing her best to raise her 10 children. Sabel of Sons of Nanay Sabel, on the other hand, is a mother who abandoned her six children.
Nanay Sabel (de las Alas) is a former bartender who is set to marry Prince Harry (Fabio Ibe). However, the prince canceled the wedding after he finds out she left her six children at an orphanage. She then embarks on a journey to find her six sons from different families that adopted them. She attempts to reunite her family and be a true mother to them.
