Patay Na Si Hesus Movie Plot Summary
In this Cebuano dark comedy movie, Jaclyn Jose plays Maria Fatima (nicknamed Iyay), a food vendor and a single mother of 3 children — Hubert (Vincent Viado), the eldest but has Down Syndrome, Judith Marie, alias Jude (Chai Fonacier), a lesbian and Jay (Melde Montañez), a college graduate but still unemployed, and a cute dog named Hudas.
One day, Iyay announced to her children that their father, her estranged husband Hesus has passed away, and they have to attend his funeral. Later, the family, along with Sister Linda (Mailes Kanapi), Iyay’s sister-in-law; Hudas the dog; and Mia (Miel Espinoza), the daughter of Jude’s girlfriend Mary (Sheen Gener), travel from Cebu to Dumaguete, with Iyay driving their van. Interestingly, their long journey was filled with comical scenes and dialogues.
