Produced by Star Cinema and directed by Tony Reyes, this comedy movie with a slight touch of horror is the second movie together of Maymay and Edward, and the first starring movie of Korean comedy actor, “It’s Showtime” co-host Ryan Bang.
DOTGA: Da One That Ghost Away Movie Plot
In the movie, Kim Chiu plays Carmel Monseratt, the breadwinner of her family, and is now in need of huge money to save her grandmother’s house from debt. She has a younger sister Serrah (Maymay Entrata), whose love interest is Chire (Edward Barber).
Carmel money from being a fake exorcism expert, along with her friends, Jerald “Jeje” Zee-Yan (Ryan Bang), Bagang (Pepe Herrera), Ponzi (Lassy Marquez), and Basha (Moi Bien).
One day, a wealthy bachelor named Jack Colmenares (Enzo Pineda) hired them for P1 million to drive away the spirits residing in his inherited mansion.
Despite the film’s flaws in terms of plot development, Kim and Ryan made a good tandem in comedy, along with the rest of the cast. It also tackles the special love for family and warns us that putting someone on a pedestal is not always a healthy attitude.
