Basta’t ikaw… Nanginginig Pa is a Filipino comedy movie starring Vic Sotto and Rosanna Roces. It was produced by Viva Films and M-Zet Productions and was released in 1999 under the direction of Tony Y. Reyes, who is known for also directing the Enteng Kabisote film series in which Vic Sotto also stars. Reyes is also the screenwriter of the film.
Basta’t Ikaw, Nanginginig Pa Movie Plot
Vic Sotto plays the role of Enteng who is pursuing to find his future wife in the province. However, after being set up with different women by his mother, he finds no luck in finding his dream girl. He later received a telegram from his cousin inviting him to audition in Manila assuring him that he would get in.
Enteng, seeing this as an opportunity to pursue his dream of being a singer and also finding his future wife, joins his cousin in Manila and gambles his chances. There he meets Selya who is played by Rosanna Roces. Selya is his cousin’s landlady and also the chairman of their barangay.
Enteng struggles with challenges in the city. He decides to quit his job and return to the province but in the process, he was mistaken to be a hitman who is tasked to assassinate Selya. After learning this, he immediately warns Selya and brings her with him to the province to protect her
