This Manila Boy movie is one of the most controversial action films of Robin Padilla. It was supposed to be an official entry to the 1993 Metro Manila Film Festival.
However, it was disqualified after then-Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim suggested that the movie depicts the violence of a Manila resident. This movie also features Judy Ann Santos, a young blind girl whom Robin treated as his young sister.
Manila Boy movie plot
Produced by Pioneer Films Worldwide and directed by Arturo San Agustin, this Robin Padilla action movie features him as Diego, a wacky young man from Zambales who went to Manila to look for a job. But in the process, he falls in love with a teacher (Aurora Sevilla) and went into trouble.
He became a gun runner and was arrested and sent to jail. Shortly, a big syndicate helped his release but hired him as their member and hitman.
