In the movie, FPJ and Vic Vargas (as Ricardo “Ric” Montinola) are best of friends for several years. In fact, Vargas’ son is FPJ’s godson.
However, the conflict started when Vargas became a gubernatorial candidate. He accidentally killed his girlfriend and requested FPJ to admit the crime to cover him up.
