Kamandag Ng Dagat-Dagatan Plot
Kamandag ng Dagat-Dagatan is set in “Dagat-dagatan,” which refers to an area spanning the cities of Malabon, Navotas, and Caloocan in Metro Manila.
The heroic Sgt. Lito Amar (Anthony Alonzo) is a newly transferred police officer from Mindanao to Metro Manila, one of the cops tasked to keep the peace in the tumultuous territory. It’s a move that was scoffed at by his superior who told him his decision to move is jumping from purgatory to hell.
Inspired by real-life, Kamandag ng Dagat-Dagatan reflects the brutality in what’s known as the “killing fields” of Manila’s northern district. From chasing down criminals to protecting the innocent to keeping his own struggling family happy, the film follows Amar as he attempts to deal with the violent, grim, and often tragic events in the area of Dagat-dagatan.
