Isusumbong Kita Sa Tatay Ko stars Fernando Poe Jr and Judy Ann Santos as father and daughter. Directed by Boots Plata, this is the first and only film of FPJ under Star Cinema. Because of its huge success at the box office, this is the first Tagalog movie to earn more than P100 million.

Here, FPJ plays the role of Badong Rivera, an auto mechanic whose wife died early. On the other hand, Santos plays Joey, FPJ’s only child. Despite their closeness and happy family bonding, the conflict started when Joey became jealous after her father fell in love with another woman. The drama became deeper when she learned she was only an adopted child.
