Gulapa is a 1977 Filipino biographical drama film based on the true-to-life story of Patrocinio Z. Gulapa, the former mayor of Maragondon, Cavite. The story was written and directed by Jose Yandoc with Ramon Revilla Sr is the lead role and also the producer. The film is most popular for its duel.
Gulapa Movie Plot
Patrozinio Gulapa (Revilla) was just a simple man. When Tiago (police) tried to arrest his friend (Max Alvarado), Zinio insisted that his friend is innocent and the police have no warrant of arrest.
The police (Van de Leon) insisted and the two resorted to a duel, which resulted in the loss of Tiago after he was fatally shot. Zinio was not charged and eventually became a town Mayor.
